Part of a series of practical workshops for adults (16+) that celebrates play - we will be exploring abstract pattern making.
Rubber stamps are a quick and exciting way to explore pattern, tessellation, negative spaces, positioning and composition. We will be working with various sized rubber pencil erasers, cutting them or carving them to make simple geometric stamps. We will then be using these stamps with ink pads to experiment and create interesting repeating patterns and compositions; either in a single colour or using multiple colours to create different effects.
Materials will be provided.
